The doctor is now in the cloud. The physical clinic has morphed into a telemedicine hub — a place with professional diagnostic equipment but no permanent doctor staff. The lobby here is a traffic distribution zone. We explore the design of automated pre-diagnosis kiosks, soundproof 'Tele-Pods' for consultations, and the receptionist's role as a tech guide helping seniors navigate the interface.
Tele-Pods: Doctor's Office 2.0
Instead of offices, the hub is filled with sealed pods. Inside is a chair, a huge 8K screen, and a set of sensors (blood pressure monitor, stethoscope, dermatoscope) connected to the internet. Pod design must inspire trust, not claustrophobia. We use panoramic glazing with electrochromic dimming (smart glass) that turns opaque once the patient enters.

Cleanliness as Service
Contactless disinfection stations and thermal cameras are installed at the lobby entrance. The admin desk is made of non-porous stone (Corian) without seams to prevent bacterial accumulation. Lobby air is UV-sterilized in upper layers (UVGI), and robot cleaners wipe surfaces every 15 minutes. This is the post-pandemic world standard.
